The important part of TxT office is the programs.
They are made by authors whose only reward is the satisfaction of making and sharing of fine tools.
Most of the programs do not require updating (They are stable, and are not subject to the stream of attacks suffered by internet-connected programs), but some of the most important are being continously developed by their authors so
- to see if there are advances which would be advantageous for your use-case
and
- to check out other works by these highly qualified programmers
you should go to the homepages of the authors.
MemPad
Mr. Horst Schaeffer has programmed the central core of the TxT office package:
MemPad - is a versatile outliner, capable of organizing both small and big projects
Qsel - is the program-launcher / menu-system that keeps the TxT office together
ShowTx - a tiny text-editor that, in many ways, are stronger than Windows Notepad
Date Reminder &
Calendar - with this combo, your own holidays and deadlines are always close at hand
The above, and more, can be found at the authors homepage:
Index of mr. Schaeffers programs
MPHtml - is a utility that converts output from MemPad into HTML files.
These can be as simple as this page, or more serious, like mr. Schaeffers homepage.
(You decide the look of the resulting page, based on the (easily editable) included templates)
The program is being revised, so at the moment it is not linked from the authors homepage - but it can be found with this
TED Notepad
TED looks like a small text-editing utility.
But while it IS physically small, the looks are decieving:
Mr. Juraj Simlovics editor includes a plethora of functions for advanced text-editing, and they are all reachable by keyboard (mousing is optional)
Nirsoft
Mr. Nir Sofer has programmed several important utilities in the TxT office.
But the included programs are just a small sample of his complete package of (constantly updated) Windows-utilities.
Collectively known as Nirsoft, they are highly recommended for everyone - from the normal user who needs the capabilities of a few of the programs, to the superuser overseeing a major network.

The complete Nirsoft utility package
The 'Nirlauncher' containing the complete package can also launch the 70 utilities in the semi-official Windows Sysinternals suite.
To integrate the Sysinternals software package in the Nirsoft launcher, you need to add the special 'sysinternals5.nlp' linkfile to the folder containing the Sysinternals suite, and then use the Nirsoft Launchers 'Add Package' function to link to it - as described on the NirLaunchers 'Downloads' page
To save time, here are direct links to the program-pages for the Nirsoft utilities included in the TxT office:
CSVed
There is a new version of mr. Sam Franckes table editing tool CSVed (version 2.5.6)
This, and a handful of other tools, can be found here:
The TxT office has retained the older 'uniCSVed' because it is much smaller, and still contains most of the functions of the new version.
Snap2HTML
There is a new version of the folder-snapshot utility Snap2HTML available on the RL Vision website.
This should have been included in the new release (0.2NE.1-R2a) of the TxT office, but accidentally it wasn't.
The new version includes built-in functions for extracting data from the snap-shots
The new version of Snap2HTML, and many other nifty tools (most of them portable freeware) can be found here:
